First Flush Diversion FFD
First Flush Diverter:
This is a mechanism that should be designed with your system to assist to avoid pollen and debris from entry to your rainwater collection storage tank.
Useful Types:
Type 1: Sub-chamber with self-sealing ball
Type 2: Sub-chambers – multiple
AVOID:
This type is not recommended due to likelihood of clogging and difficulty with drainage, and maintaining clean filters in a buried diversion chamber.
